How to use enzyme cleaner on carpet

How to clean your carpet using enzyme cleaner

1. Get rid of any mess
   The first step in using enzyme cleaner properly is to remove as much of the substance as possible. Stains are caused by something, such as food, falling onto your carpet. Whatever the substance is, you want to remove it by picking it up or scooping it up. You want to remove as much as possible from your carpet so that the enzyme cleaner can concentrate solely on what has already soaked into the carpet fibres.
   If there is any excess liquid, this step is also necessary. If you spill a glass of wine on your carpet, there will almost certainly be more liquid than the enzyme cleaner can handle. To remove the stain, take a clean cloth of some kind and pat it onto the stain. Do not rub it in; simply place the cloth over the liquid and pat it down. This will help soak up as much liquid as possible, allowing the cleaner to deal with only what is necessary.
2. Prepare the area
   The following step in using enzyme cleaner on your carpet is to help dilute the stain as much as possible before applying the cleaner. After removing as much excess stain as possible, dilute the stain with warm water. This simply allows the enzyme cleaner to be more effective in eliminating the stain or odour.

   After you’ve removed as much excess as possible from the stain, it’s time to use the enzyme cleaner.

It should be noted that some stains are particularly difficult to remove, and even if your cleaner did not remove the stain satisfactorily, you should not abandon your carpet. A dried, older stain may be removed, but it will require much more effort and multiple applications of the cleaner. With these types of stains, it may take days or even weeks to see any progress. The sooner you catch a mess, the less likely it will become a difficult-to-clean stain.
